The “paper” provides multi-state examples of such initiatives and also highlights Maine educators who have embraced this concept.

Proof of Concept does not always and only suggest test scores since most test are memory based on recall of facts figures names dates and places. View status updateMany philanthropic organizations are focused on ”deeper learning”, ”competency”, ”proficiency” and defining the transition of ”standards” to application in life as an indicator of what an college and career diploma candidate should exhibit. Learner-Centered Education 11 months, 3 weeks agoThe Maine Legislature has recently passed new legislation, LD 1422 to ensure that diplomas by 2017 are based upon embedded standards and require a level of demonstrated proficiency. Local districts will have to embrace a learner centered anytime everywhere educational experience in order for students to attain or evidence these proficiency…[Read more]
