In an ideal world……………I have noticed many students struggling with doing more than required……….so…what do we require?…….the minimum?……middle?……..Who determines the needs are met?…..and when?……and how is that person determined to have met a standard? (sports official?)

Great question Jen! Reading about the arts? Writing about the arts? Sure! The arts help with the ability to communicate in a variety of ways. Project based learning recognizes the notion that literacy can be […]

Literacy for the arts, or arts for literacy? What do you think?
Are we, arts educators, to become literacy specialists for the purpose of student achievement in literacy? Or is it the other way around? […]

Digital portfolios have been a lot fun and a great resource for student and teacher. Remember those Sony Mavica cameras?…..what were they….one megapixel? hah! With modern laptops, notebooks, photocopiers that scan and personal phones…….students are capturing images of their work daily.

More capturing equals more sharing. Students are…[Read more]
